  • A published telephone number, 6 points.

The website and the phone only count when that check has been made across an entire trade, so that nobody is compared against a business measured on more data than they were. Until then, the score comes from the rating and the reviews alone.

What it does not measure

Quality. It measures the public trace a business leaves, which is a different thing and worth saying plainly. A superb kitchen with nobody writing about it will sit lower than a good one that people talk about, and no formula fixes that.

Why publish it at all

Because it is the same information every visitor is already looking at, scattered across a hundred listings, gathered in one place with the arithmetic shown. If a business thinks its position is wrong, the breakdown says exactly which factor it is losing on, which is more useful than a badge. Every figure carries the date it was verified.
