Twenty estate agencies in Torre del Mar carry a public rating, with close to 4,000 reviews between them. It is the most crowded professional sector in the town and the most tightly contested table on the site: the top four are separated by less than two points out of a hundred.
Why there are so many
This is a resort property market with a large international buyer base, including a long established Northern European presence. That supports a density of agencies a town of this size would not otherwise carry, and it is why several of them work in English, German, Dutch or the Scandinavian languages.
Ratings in this trade need care
An estate agency has two customers with opposite interests in the same transaction, and the review usually comes from whichever one was happier. High ratings across hundreds of opinions, which several agencies here hold, are a genuine signal. A perfect score on a handful is not.

- Agree who pays the commission and how much, in writing, before viewings start.
