Torre del Mar has nine seafood restaurants, heirs to the fishing tradition of this coast. Prawns and clams off the plancha, charcoal grill, rice dishes and fried fish.

Seafood is sold by weight. Ask the price

This is the single most useful thing to know. Prawns, clams and most shellfish are priced per kilo and served by portion, so the bill depends on how much lands on the table. Ask what a portion costs before you order, and if you are unsure, say how much you want rather than leaving it open. It is completely normal to do so and no one takes offence.

The shape of the sector

This is the trade with the highest volume of public opinion in town: five of the nine have more than a thousand reviews each, so the ratings are settled and a two-tenths difference actually means something. One of the most veteran houses sits at a 3.7 across more than nine hundred reviews, which in a sector this heavily reviewed is not explained by one bad day.
