Pizzerias
There are twelve pizzerias and Italian restaurants in Torre del Mar, more than any other foreign cuisine in town.
Two different things under one label
A wood-fired pizzeria and a trattoria making fresh pasta by hand are not playing the same game, and the price is not the same either. Several places here do one or the other rather than both, and the listing for each says which.
The most famous is not the best rated
Worth saying plainly. The best known pizzeria in town holds more than 3,800 public reviews, four times any other, and still sits behind half a dozen others on average score. Popularity and quality are measuring different things here.
Practical
Several have terraces on the western promenade near the lighthouse, which in summer means queuing at dinner time. Midweek you eat just as well without the wait. And Spanish dinner hours apply: the kitchen gets going around nine.
