Hairdressers

There are twelve hairdressers and barbers in Torre del Mar, and as a trade they hold some of the highest customer ratings in the whole directory: eleven of the twelve have a 4.7 or more.

They work by appointment, usually through an app

This is what catches visitors out. Booking here happens by phone, through a booking app or on the salon's own website, and walking in without warning rarely works, particularly in summer. It is worth messaging a day ahead.

Ask the price of colour before you sit down

Cut prices are broadly similar between salons. Colour is where the bill varies most, and where new customers get surprised. A one-line question at the door solves it.

Reading the ratings in this trade

With eleven of twelve salons at 4.7 or above, the score itself barely separates anyone. What tells you something is how many people are behind it: the best known salon in town holds its rating across 1,325 reviews, which is a different claim from the same score across thirty.
