Torre del Mar has several nursery schools covering the pre-school stage, both public and private.

Two things to sort out early

• The enrolment window is in spring. Families arriving outside it enter through the vacancy process instead, so it is worth looking into months ahead rather than in September.
• Register on the padrón first. The municipal population register is normally required for enrolment and is done at the council office in the Casa de Larios. It is the document everything else depends on.

Public and private are not the same process

Public nursery places are allocated by a scoring system that takes into account residence, work situation and family circumstances. Private nurseries set their own admissions. If you are moving mid-year, the private route is usually the realistic one.
