Ice cream

Heladeria Buenavista

Buenavista is on Calle del Mar, which along with the Paseo de Larios is where the town does its shopping. The street runs towards the water, so the shop catches people on the way down and on the way back.

It sells artisan ice cream to eat as you walk. There is no ceremony to it and none is needed. What earns its 4.4 is being reliably good at the one thing an ice cream shop on a shopping street has to be good at.

I point visitors to Calle del Mar for a different reason than the beach walk. This is where you see the town working: the shoe shops, the pharmacy, the fabric stores, people doing errands. An ice cream here comes with a better picture of the place than one eaten facing the sea. Hours are longest in the beach months.
