Getting here
Bus station
The bus station is in the centre of town, next to Avenida de Andalucía, and it is the starting point for all public transport here. It has ticket desks and a small café.
Where you can go
- Málaga, with ALSA running more than a hundred services a day. The journey takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how many stops the service makes.
- Granada, Almería, Motril and Seville on longer routes.
- Vélez-Málaga and the villages of the Axarquía on the local and regional lines, which leave from the same place.
Three practical notes
Check the timetable on the day, on the operator's site. Frequencies change with the season and between weekdays, Saturdays and public holidays. That is why no timetable is copied here: a list copied today misleads in three months.
There is no direct bus to the airport. You connect in Málaga, and for an early flight that connection rarely works.
If you travel often, get the local travel card. It is sold at this station and pays for itself from about two trips a week.
The businesses in this trade
