## Storage is the bigger need here, and that says something

People in this town search for a storage unit more often than for a removal firm. In a place with small seasonal flats, a _trastero_ is where the surfboard, the beach furniture and the winter things live. Note that many flats are sold with a trastero included in the deeds as an annexe, so check what you already own before renting one.

## What to check before signing

- **Access hours.** Some units are open around the clock and some are not, and it changes what you can store there.
- **Whether the contents are insured**, and by whom. It is normally not the operator.
- **Damp.** This is a coastal town. Ask about ventilation before storing anything made of paper, fabric or electronics.
