# Padel

Padel is the sport of the moment on this coast, and it is worth being precise about what Torre del Mar actually has. Inside the town there is **one club**, on Calle los Fenicios, which holds a perfect rating. Alongside it there are **municipal courts** by the promenade, which are a different thing.

## Club and public court are not comparable

One offers service, equipment and coaching, the other is an open-air public facility. The difference in their ratings reflects exactly that, and comparing them as if they were the same thing would be misleading.

## Practical

Book ahead in season: with a single club in town, the good evening slots go days in advance. If you are after competition or more courts, the serious offer in the area is in Vélez-Málaga.
