# Orthopaedic supplies

Torre del Mar has **three orthopaedic supply shops**, on Avenida Antonio Toré Toré, Calle Ramón y Cajal and Avenida del Sol. They sell and hire wheelchairs, adjustable beds, walkers, crutches, insoles and mobility aids.

## Hiring is what most visitors need

This is the part worth knowing in a town with a large seasonal population. You can **hire** a wheelchair, a hospital bed or a walking aid by the week or the month rather than buying it, which is what makes a holiday possible for a visitor with reduced mobility or after an injury. Ask about delivery to the flat and collection at the end, since not every shop includes it.

## Some items are prescribed

Part of this catalogue falls under the public health service's orthoprosthetic provision, which means a prescription from your specialist can reduce what you pay. It applies to some items and not to others, so ask before buying rather than after.

## The ratings are unusually spread

Between the best and the worst rated of the three there is nearly two full points, on a similar number of opinions. In a trade with three shops, that gap is worth looking at rather than taking the nearest.

## The businesses in this trade

Ranked by the score this site gives every business in town: public Google ratings, how many people are behind them, and how the business is doing online.
