## How appointments actually work in this town

Many salons here book by telephone or by a message on WhatsApp, which in Spain is the normal way to book almost anything small. If you write, do it in Spanish, even badly, and include the day, the time and the service.

Only three salons in town have a website of their own, and for a visitor who would rather not make a phone call in a language they are learning, that is worth knowing before you walk the street looking for a free chair. Do not turn up expecting to be seen immediately on a Friday afternoon anywhere in this town.
