# Checa Homes

**Checa Homes** works from **Calle Saladero Viejo**, in the centre, and holds a 4.8 across 529 reviews, which puts it among the three most reviewed agencies of the town. It covers buying, selling and letting in Torre del Mar and along the coast of the **Axarquía**, for residents and for second home buyers alike.

Groups of this size see a wider slice of the market than a single office does, and for a buyer from abroad that has a practical advantage: more properties on the books means fewer wasted trips across the coast to view three flats.

## Ask who is paying the agent

In Spain the commission is normally paid by the seller, so the agency showing you a flat is usually working for the other side of the table. That is not a scandal, it is the standard, and it is why I would ask the question openly at the first meeting. If the same office also represents you as the buyer, ask how they handle it. The way an agency answers that tells you more about it than any brochure.
