Nine _marisquerías_ in Torre del Mar carry a public rating, with more than **17,000 reviews** between them. One house alone accounts for over four thousand, which makes it one of the most reviewed businesses in the town of any kind.

## The table is tight and the top is old

Bar Los Pescadores leads with a 4.5 from 1,173 reviews, followed by El Radar, open since 1981, with a 4.4 from 2,017. El Yate, Bar Negri and Grupo Varela tie on points with a 4.3 each. They are long established houses rather than new openings. Figures as of 19 September 2026.

## Seafood is priced by weight, and this catches visitors out

The menu gives a price _per kilo_ for prawns, clams or whatever is fresh that day. You order a portion, it is weighed, and the bill reflects the weight. This is completely normal and completely legitimate, but if you do not ask what a portion will weigh, the total can be a surprise. Ask. Nobody minds.

## What to order

What came off this coast: the _boquerón victoriano_, the local anchovy, and whatever the board says arrived today. For fish fried and wrapped in paper to take away, that is the _freiduría_, a different trade with its own ranking.
